Das Ziel dieses Artikels ist es, einen \u00dcberblick \u00fcber dieses Thema zu geben.<\/p>\n<p>Das IBM i-Portfolio<\/p>\n<p>Das IBM i-Portfolio besteht aus drei verschiedenen Arten von Software:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Das Grundbetriebssystem mit seinen separat bestellbaren zus\u00e4tzlichen Funktionen.<\/li>\n<li>Licensed Program Products (LPPs), die das Grundbetriebssystem erg\u00e4nzen (z. B. IBM i Access, IBM Rational Development Studio f\u00fcr i, PowerHA, &#8230;).<\/li>\n<li>Andere Produkte:\n<ul>\n<li>IBM-Produkte, die unter Passport Advantage (PPA) lizenziert sind (z. B. WebSphere MQ, Rational Tools, Merlin, &#8230;).<\/li>\n<li>Produkte von Drittanbietern (z. B. Replikationssoftware, &#8230;).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>IBM i-Lizenzierung<\/p>\n<p>Die IBM i-Lizenzierung basiert auf der Kategorie (die wiederum vom Maschinenmodelltyp abh\u00e4ngt) der Hardware, auf der das Betriebssystem lizenziert werden muss. IBM Power-Systeme sind in drei verschiedene Kategorien unterteilt: Klein, Mittel und Gro\u00df.<\/p>\n<p>Zus\u00e4tzlich ist f\u00fcr IBM i die Prozessorguppe (Software Tier) entscheidend und entspricht der HW-Kategorie:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Klein &#8211; Prozessorguppe P05\/P10\/P20<\/li>\n<li>Mittel &#8211; Prozessorguppe P30<\/li>\n<li>Gro\u00df \u2013 Prozessorguppe P50 (auf neueren IBM Power-Modellen nicht mehr verwendet)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>F\u00fcr alle Systemkategorien ist eine Berechtigung (Lizenz) erforderlich f\u00fcr jeden Prozessor, der das IBM i-Betriebssystem verwendet.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr Modelle in den Prozessorguppen P05 und P10 ist neben der Prozessorberechtigung auch eine Berechtigung f\u00fcr die maximale Anzahl von gleichzeitig authentifizierten IBM i-Benutzern auf dem System erforderlich. Ein Benutzer ist eine Person, die auf IBM i zugreift, entweder direkt \u00fcber eine oder mehrere Verbindungen, indem sie Anmeldeinformationen direkt mit IBM i oder indirekt \u00fcber eine Anwendung oder Software (z. B. B. nach System, nach LPAR, nach Kern, nach Benutzer usw.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ab Juni 2022 hat IBM mehrere LPPs und optionale Funktionen des Betriebssystems kostenlos angeboten und sie effektiv als integralen Bestandteil des Betriebssystems betrachtet.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4786\" src=\"https:\/\/www.info01.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Lic_2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"935\" height=\"443\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.info01.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Lic_2-200x95.png 200w, https:\/\/www.info01.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Lic_2-300x142.png 300w, https:\/\/www.info01.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Lic_2-400x190.png 400w, https:\/\/www.info01.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Lic_2-600x284.png 600w, https:\/\/www.info01.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Lic_2-768x364.png 768w, https:\/\/www.info01.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Lic_2-800x379.png 800w, https:\/\/www.info01.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Lic_2.png 935w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 935px) 100vw, 935px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>IBM i-Abonnement<\/p>\n<p>Ab Mai 2022 wurde ein neuer Lizenzierungsmodus f\u00fcr das IBM i-Betriebssystem eingef\u00fchrt. Neben den &#8220;traditionellen&#8221; unbefristeten Lizenzen (ohne Ablaufdatum) wurden Lizenzen mit begrenzter Laufzeit (1, 2, 3, 4 oder 5 Jahre) eingef\u00fchrt, die auch die Softwarewartung (9&#215;5-Support) umfassen. Diese werden als IBM i-Abonnements bezeichnet. Mit der Einf\u00fchrung der Abonnements passt sich auch IBM i den wachsenden Marktanforderungen an. Unternehmen interessieren sich immer weniger daf\u00fcr, Produkte zu besitzen, und immer mehr daf\u00fcr, sie zufriedenstellend und flexibel zu nutzen (Subscription Economy). Diese Verschiebung stellt eine Umstellung auf Betriebsausgaben (OpEx) statt auf Kapitalausgaben (CapEx) dar, mit den sich daraus ergebenden Vorteilen.<\/p>\n<p>Ab heute ist dieser Lizenzierungsmodus f\u00fcr alle POWER9- und Power10-Modelle in den Prozessorguppen P05\/P10\/P20\/P30 und f\u00fcr die folgenden Softwareprodukte verf\u00fcgbar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>IBM i-Betriebssystem<\/li>\n<li>Rational Development Studio f\u00fcr i<\/li>\n<li>Rational Developer f\u00fcr i<\/li>\n<li>Modernization Engine for Lifecycle Integration (Merlin)<\/li>\n<li>Entitled Systems Support (ESS)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Das ESS-Portal ist ein wichtiges Tool zur \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung und Verwaltung aller Aspekte in Bezug auf IBM Power-Software, einschlie\u00dflich Berechtigungen, elektronischer Nachweis von Berechtigungen (ePoE), Verwaltung von Lizenzschl\u00fcsseln, \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung aktiver Softwarewartungen und Downloads von Software-Updates\/neuen Produkten.<\/p>\n<p>IBM i Evaluation (Try &amp; Buy) und National Language Version (NLV) Downloads sind ebenfalls \u00fcber das ESS-Portal verf\u00fcgbar. In bestimmten F\u00e4llen gestattet IBM jedoch die \u00dcbertragung von IBM i-Lizenzen (Prozessor- und Benutzerlizenzen) von einem System (Spender) auf ein anderes (Ziel). Diese M\u00f6glichkeit erleichtert die technologische Erneuerung von IBM Power-Systemen und die Konsolidierung und Lastenverteilung, wobei die Investitionen der Kunden gesch\u00fctzt werden.<\/p>\n<p>Die wesentlichen Anforderungen f\u00fcr die \u00dcbertragung von IBM i-Lizenzen von einem Spendersystem auf ein Zielsystem sind:<\/p>\n<p>Beide Systeme, Spender und Ziel, m\u00fcssen demselben Kunden geh\u00f6ren oder Kunden geh\u00f6ren, die derselben Unternehmensgruppe (1) angeh\u00f6ren. Der Kunde muss das Spendersystem mindestens ein Jahr lang besessen haben. Die Lizenzen, die vom Spendersystem \u00fcbertragen werden sollen, m\u00fcssen durch eine Softwarewartung abgedeckt sein.<\/p>\n<p>(1) Eine Unternehmensgruppe wird definiert als jede juristische Person (einschlie\u00dflich Einzelpersonen, Unternehmen, Gesch\u00e4fte) und deren Tochtergesellschaften. Eine Tochtergesellschaft bezieht sich auf jede juristische Person, die direkt oder indirekt im Besitz oder unter Kontrolle der Unternehmensgruppe steht und mehr als 50 % der Stimmen oder, wenn keine Stimmen vorhanden sind, der Entscheidungsbefugnis hat.<\/p>\n<p>Die \u00dcbertragung von IBM i-Lizenzen ist nur innerhalb bestimmter \u00dcbertragungsgruppen gestattet, die auf der Prozessorguppe der Spender- und Zielsysteme basieren. Weitere Details finden Sie im Dokument &#8220;IBM i Prozessorberechtigungs\u00fcbertragung&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Tempor\u00e4re Lizenzen<\/p>\n<p>In bestimmten Situationen, wie der Notwendigkeit, Produktionsarbeiten gleichzeitig auf den Spender- und Zielsystemen f\u00fcr einen Zeitraum l\u00e4nger als die in den Regeln f\u00fcr die \u00dcbertragung von IBM i-Lizenzen festgelegten 30 Tage auszuf\u00fchren, oder der vor\u00fcbergehenden Verwaltung von Arbeitslasten, die zus\u00e4tzliche Software erfordern, die \u00fcber die auf dem System lizenzierte hinausgeht, k\u00f6nnen tempor\u00e4re Lizenzen (Produktcode 5733 ITL) sowohl f\u00fcr das IBM i-Betriebssystem als auch f\u00fcr Licensed Program Products (LPP) bestellt werden. Die Mindestdauer der Lizenz betr\u00e4gt ein Monat, und die h\u00f6chstm\u00f6gliche Bestellmenge betr\u00e4gt 12 Monate. Der &#8220;Z\u00e4hler&#8221;, der die Dauer der bestellten ITL-Lizenz bestimmt, beginnt, wenn die Lizenz vom Kunden direkt \u00fcber das ESS-Portal aktiviert wird. Erst zu diesem Zeitpunkt wird ein tempor\u00e4rer Lizenzschl\u00fcssel generiert, der eine Dauer hat, die der der bestellten Lizenz entspricht.<\/p>\n<p>Die Liste der Produkte, die im ITL-Modus verf\u00fcgbar sind, wird auf der Website &#8220;IBM i Temporary Licensing Eligible Programs&#8221; ver\u00f6ffentlicht.<\/p>\n<p>IBM i-Softwarewartung<\/p>\n<p>Ein aktiver Softwarewartungsvertrag f\u00fcr IBM i-Lizenzen berechtigt Sie zu:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Herunterladen neuer Versionen, Ver\u00f6ffentlichungen und Technology Refreshes; dies ist entscheidend, um Ihre Systeme auf dem neuesten Stand zu halten und die technologischen M\u00f6glichkeiten optimal zu nutzen.<\/li>\n<li>Zugriff auf von IBM ver\u00f6ffentlichte Korrekturen (PTFs).<\/li>\n<li>Technische Unterst\u00fctzung im Falle von Fehlfunktionen.<\/li>\n<li>\u00dcbertragung von IBM i-Prozessor- und Benutzerlizenzen von einem Spendersystem auf ein Zielsystem (unter Einhaltung der zuvor beschriebenen Regeln).<\/li>\n<li>Bereitstellung von Lizenzschl\u00fcsseln f\u00fcr fr\u00fchere Ver\u00f6ffentlichungen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Derzeit unterst\u00fctzte IBM i-Versionen sind 7.4 und 7.5. F\u00fcr IBM i 7.3, 7.2 und 7.1 (nur auf ausgew\u00e4hlten POWER9-Modellen) ist es neben der Softwarewartung auch m\u00f6glich, eine Service Extension zu abonnieren, die eine zeitlich begrenzte
